Carson L. Hancock

Carson L. Hancock is a criminal and civil litigator and a founding partner at Hancock Gaeta, P.A. Carson was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL where he excelled academically and graduated from the prestigious Westminster Academy. Upon graduation, Carson received a scholarship to attend Florida State University where he double majored in History and Political Science.

Before law school, Carson worked in Washington, D.C. for John Walsh of America’s
Most Wanted and returned the following year to complete a summer clerkship with the United States Secret Service. Carson attended law school at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center where he would obtain his Juris Doctor. While in law school, Carson clerked for the Honorable Judge Mily Rodriguez-Powell of the 17th Circuit. Carson also worked for the renowned civil litigation firm Krupnick
Campbell handling a variety of cases, including automobile negligence and wrongful death claims.

Post-graduation, he followed in his father and brother’s footsteps and accepted a position as a prosecutor with the Broward County State Attorney’s Office. As a prosecutor, Carson practiced before some the most respected Judges in the community and would gain valuable courtroom experience, trying numerous jury and bench trials, and countless substantive motions. Carson prosecuted crimes ranging from misdemeanors to felonies, including attempted murder, home invasion robbery, and armed carjacking.
