Carson L. Hancock is a seasoned criminal and civil litigator and founding partner of Hancock Gaeta, P.A. A Fort Lauderdale native, Carson graduated with honors from the prestigious Westminster Academy. He went on to earn a scholarship to Florida State University, where he completed a dual major in History and Political Science.

Before entering law school, Carson worked in Washington, D.C. for John Walsh of America’s Most Wanted and later returned to complete a summer clerkship with the United States Secret Service. He earned his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law, where he also gained valuable legal experience clerking for the Honorable Judge Mily Rodriguez-Powell of the 17th Judicial Circuit. During this time, he also worked with the respected civil litigation firm Krupnick Campbell, where he assisted on cases involving automobile negligence and wrongful death.

After graduating, Carson continued a family tradition of public service by joining the Broward County State Attorney’s Office as a prosecutor. There, he appeared before some of the most respected judges in the community and gained extensive courtroom experience. Carson successfully handled a wide range of cases—from misdemeanors to complex felonies—trying numerous jury and bench trials involving serious charges such as attempted murder, armed carjacking, and home invasion robbery.

Today, Carson brings his extensive trial experience and passion for justice to every case he handles, delivering strategic and aggressive advocacy for his clients across South Florida.

Mark A. Gaeta is a dedicated civil litigation attorney and founding partner of Hancock Gaeta, P.A. Prior to establishing the firm, Mark served as a trial attorney at a leading insurance defense firm in Fort Lauderdale, where he gained extensive experience handling cases involving automobile negligence, wrongful death, slip and fall injuries, premises liability, and complex commercial disputes.

His work on the defense side provided Mark with a deep understanding of how insurance companies operate and defend against injury claims. This insider knowledge now gives him a powerful advantage when negotiating or litigating on behalf of injury victims. Mark leverages this experience to secure the full compensation his clients deserve—covering medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages caused by negligence.
